New in the app: See stability before you charge with Elton.
Tired of chargers that won't start? Tired of pressing stop and start in the rain or sleet when all you want is to sit back with a warm cup of coffee while your car charges? Us too! With Elton, you can now easily see whether a charger is unstable in the app — before you press start charging!
Here's what's new:
When you're in the app, you'll be able to see if a charger has been a bit troublesome lately. There are many reasons why that can happen, but you probably don't want to dive into a load of technical details when you just want to charge. That's why we flag chargers we know are a bit sporadic with "unreliable", so you can quickly check the status of a charger.
Note: An unstable charger doesn't mean it no longer works. It just means we've noticed it has had some issues the last few times someone has charged with it. It's still safe to charge there, but there's a slightly higher chance of an error message or two before you get going.

Why are we doing this?
Elton's vision is not just to be a good charging service, but to be part of the charging solution! Collecting data from every charger used allows us to do two important things that make charging better for everyone. We can inform users about which chargers are currently unstable, and tell charging operators the same, so chargers improve in the future.
In other words: we collect faults and issues with chargers, sort through them, and pass feedback on behalf of consumers directly to operators — while giving you the information you need for a great charging session today. That's how Elton ensures you're helping to improve charging for everyone, every time you charge!
This is killing two birds with one stone. We get to share information with you about where it's unstable right now, and we get to inform our partners about minor faults. The charging operators we've already shared this with are thrilled.
