How to charge with Elton
- Connect your car to the charging pole
Some cars have an adapter and can therefore charge with more types of chargers than the standard. Your dealer should inform you about this.
- Press “Charge Car” in the Elton app
You will find the button at the bottom of the app. You will also find it when you have pressed a charging station on the charging map or route planner.
- Find the correct charging station and pole
Select the charging station you are at from the “Nearby” list that appears. Then look for the “plugged in” marker on the pole list. The pole with the marker is the one you are at. Press this one. You can also scan the QR code on the pole. Some charging poles have multiple outlets, so make sure you find the one the car is connected to. You can also press “Enter EVSE code manually” to enter the pole code yourself.
- Start charging
Select payment method and press “Start charging”. It may take a few seconds for charging to start.
- Stop charging in the app
To end a charging session, press “Stop charging”. Some car models require you to also stop charging from inside the car. If you can’t disconnect the charging cable after ending a charging session, it’s most likely because you need to stop it manually from the car as well.
- Get a receipt
All receipts and your charging history can also be found under “Your Profile” located under “Profile” in the menu at the bottom of the app.
