New Feature in the Charging App: View Charging Information on Locked Screen
A new feature in Elton's charging app displays the charging status directly from your iPhone’s locked screen. The charging status is also visible in the "Dynamic Island." This can be especially handy for monitoring the charging of your electric vehicle at fast and ultra-fast charging stations to ensure it’s progressing smoothly.
“Being able to check the charging status without opening the app makes it easier for you to keep track of the remaining time, ensure the charging isn’t interrupted, and know the cost. We are planning significant expansions to this functionality to make charging your electric car on the go even more convenient,” says Jørgen Elton Nilsen, CEO of Elton.The new charging status feature is available in Elton if you’ve updated the charging app and your iOS supports "Live Activities". The same functionality is on its way for Android users.Here’s what it displays:
- Charging duration
- kWh charged (if the charger supports it, like Recharge, Circle K, Vattenfall and more)
Battery percentage, if you’ve linked your car in the app
- Price upon charging completion

Can’t see the charging status on your locked screen?
If Live Activity doesn’t appear on your lock screen while charging, try this:- Open Elton and tap on “Profile” on the menu bar at the bottom of the app
- Scroll down and tap on “Settings”
- Turn on “Live Activities.” If it turns green, you’re all set
